Site Guide
VectorMatrix.wiki is a reference for AI and LLM tools: what exists, what each is good at, which providers and models are worth knowing, and the practices that go with them. It is kept by Andy.
What is here
- Tools covers tools, models, providers, services and agent skills. Each entry has an infobox with the facts (category, provider, pricing, where it runs, status, an editor rating out of five), an assessment, strengths and limitations, the article itself with numbered citations, and the references those citations point at. The Tools page filters by any of those facts, searches the list, sorts, and compares entries side by side.
- Practices are statements that hold, each with a status, a confidence, the entries it applies to and a source. A practice that stops holding is marked outdated or superseded and kept as it was written. The Practices page has the same filters, search, sort and compare as Tools.
- What's new shows the latest entries added here beside the latest items from the feed, with a page for each list.
- The feed gathers items from outside sources, each labeled with where it came from and when. It is the smaller half of the site: the entries are what those sources add up to.
Finding things
The search box at the top of every page searches the whole wiki, including the text of every entry. On the Tools and Practices pages the box on the left searches only that list, and the filters beside it narrow by category, rating, status and the rest. Category links on the home page open the Tools page with that filter already set.
Citations and comments
Numbers in brackets in an article link to the References at the bottom of the entry. Public comments on each entry are coming; the placeholder at the bottom of every entry marks where they will go.
